The FOAMCRETE® panels grant an outstanding easiness for handling, transporting and installation thanks to its reduced weight that permit its use in any condition. The weight per square meter of panels before the concrete application is variable in accordance with its typology, from 3,5 kg/m². The FOAMCRETE® panels represent a big advantage either for final users as for the construction companies, given the fact that permit to achieve better behaviour than the traditional systems, at a cost level outstandingly lower. The intuition of having an element that fulfil simultaneously with the function of walls with very high resistance and as thermo acoustical isolator, has been undoubtedly guesser and innovative. With this purpose the economical comparisons between constructions with the FOAMCRETE® system and other traditional systems have proven savings over 20% for double panels and 40% for individual panels. The architectonical typology that can be achieved with FOAMCRETE® can be of the most original and varied types. The panels can be used as vertical loadable closing elements, division walls, outer walls, intermediate floors, roofs and stairs. In all these cases is possible to obtain, with total easiness, all type of geometric forms, flat or curved, made in site with simple cut in the elements .The own characteristics of thermal and acoustical isolation, the fire resistance, the manoeuvrability and easiness for installation make from FOAMCRETE® panel a competent material for the most diverse uses. |

RESISTENT
Many laboratory essays done in Italy and in other countries of the world have proven the outstanding resistance in the action of loads on the FOAMCRETE® panels. For instance, the essays done on a simple panel of 112 cm width by 15 cm of thickness (6 cm of structural mortar) and 270 cm of height show a capacity to resist compressions over 1 700 kN (173 352 kgF). Such values show that a structure built with FOAMCRETE® technology has a capacity of resistance much higher than the traditional ones that could be compared with. |

ENERGY SAVING
The value of the total thermal resistance K of a wall integrated by a panel of 4 cm thickness of expanded polystyrene with density of 15 kg/m³ and two sides with projection of 3 cm thickness of cement mortar with a total thickness of 10 cm is equal to 0,78 w/m²K. In case that the wall will be done with an expanded polystyrene panel of 8 cm thickness (density 15 kg/m³) the thermal transmission K=0,49w/m²K. Such a level of technical isolation enormously surpass the K values for walls normally obtained with traditional systems and becomes an energy saving, that as indicative figures, we can say is close to 40% either for heating and air conditioning cycles. |

EXCELENT ACOUSTIC
The acoustical isolation in FOAMCRETE panel constitutes one of the advantages from the constructive system. Experimental essays done over the panels have provided the following results:
• FOAMCRETE® panel with polystyrene sheet of 4 cm: 38 dB
• FOAMCRETE® panel with polystyrene sheet of 8 cm: 45 dB
These values demonstrate the fitness of panels also under the most severe conditions, as per technical standards in effect. |

FIRE PROOFING
The quality of expanded polystyrene used to build the panels is of type F self extinguishable according to the definition of Standard DIN 4102. The tests of fire resistance, done over slabs done with panel PFS-080 have demonstrated a resistance over REI 120. |

|
FINISHED SELECTION
The walls built with FOAMCRETEŽ panels can be completed with any kind of finished. It is possible to apply a finished directly over the projected mortar or as alternative, traditional paints can be applied on the projected mortar or over an extended plaster. Definitively, it is possible to apply any type of plaster or finished without any limitation. |

ANTISEISMIC
Laboratory essays done on an FOAMCRETEŽ building of two floors in real scale, have demonstrated that the structure resists bigger loads than the ones in a First Category Earthquake (maximum in the Italian Seismic Standard), without any damage at all.
The results obtained with these essays represent the scientific confirmation of this that nature has proven already; in effect, many buildings erected with the FOAMCRETE system have successfully supported the strongest earthquakes in many countries of the world.

HURRICANES RESISTANT
Constructions built with the FOAMCRETEŽ system in high hurricane risk areas have proven, during many years, the capacity to resist the pass of the most devastating hurricanes confirming empirically all that was already verified by the calculations, it means, the high resistance of the FOAMCRETEŽ constructions to the complex loads and pressures from forces exerted by the hurricanes. |
